Centrepoint, a charity addressing youth homelessness, collaborates with Wonderhood Studios to rewrite the lyrics to ‘Silent Night’, shedding light on street violence against homeless individuals. The 60-second film features a choir led by young people affected by homelessness, singing revised lyrics such as “Violent night, endless night” and “Sleep in fear for your life”. Aimee, an 18-year-old rapper who experienced homelessness due to a family breakdown, works with Wonderhood Studios to rework the lyrics. The film is accompanied by out-of-home advertisements displaying the rewritten carol lyrics in a traditional hymn sheet style.
