Chocomel, a Dutch milk drink brand, has launched a quirky new TV ad celebrating unconventionality, backed by a £5 million investment. Following the success of last year’s “Sharing Not Required” campaign, the new effort is expected to reach 86% of UK audiences across TV, cinema, video-on-demand, and digital platforms. The playful creative showcases various ways people enjoy their Chocomel treat, such as relaxing in an outdoor bathtub or spinning on an office chair propelled by a leaf blower.

Chocomel UK brand manager, Jake Rylands, expressed excitement about the brand’s growth since its 2019 launch in the UK, with Chocomel now being a £10.3 million brand and experiencing a 30% year-on-year growth. The brand has invested over £15 million in above-the-line marketing spend in 2023 and 2024 combined, with a focus on creating high visibility and lasting impact through a 360-degree campaign. The latest campaign, titled “When Life Gives You Chocomel,” celebrates individuality and spontaneity, reflecting the core values of the brand. The ad features celebrity guests including darts legend Raymond van Barneveld, viral meme personality ‘Hide the Pain Harold,’ and narrator Darren Harriott from Love Island: Aftersun.
